Spotlight on Weybridge

The well-heeled town of Weybridge offers some beautiful, upmarket houses that are home to many celebrities.

A twenty-minute train journey takes you directly into Waterloo and the idyllic town is situated close to London. Giving residents easy access to the city and the main motorway routes. Heathrow Airport is also a short journey away, if you want to jet off to more exotic locations.

Weybridge has many outdoor pursuits on offer, if you want to get out and about. For motor enthusiasts, the centre has many museums and exhibitions showcasing the best of British motoring. Brooklands Museum is a wonderful day out for the family, as is the London Bus Museum and Mercedes-Benz World (which also boasts a fabulous spa and restaurant if you fancy an extra treat).

For avid walkers, there are pretty waterside routes to enjoy – most notably the five-mile stroll recommended by the National Trust. Crockford Bridge Farm offers a ‘pick your own’ fruit and vegetable service, as well as a butchers. The Medicine Garden, also located on the walk, is a serene area of walled gardens that also promotes a ‘wellbeing’ lifestyle. For keen golfers, St George’s Hill is a beautiful course to play on. Thorpe Park is also nearby, providing rollercoasters and rides galore, for those seeking an adrenaline rush.

The town centre has a host of swanky interior shops, such as Neptune and Mandarin Stone. And for a refreshing break, you could visit one of the many gastropubs dotted around Weybridge. For more fine dining options, try Valentina, 1907 or No 7 Temple. And if you fancy a quick coffee, you can’t beat Nikki’s or Aromas.

With exceptional schools, great commuter links, grand houses and views of the Thames, Weybridge is a beautiful town that blends country living and commuter-belt life.
